kelly and eric {salisbury, nc}

Saturday was an amazingly beautiful day where two people who have prayed for each other and cared about each other for the past 4 years were married.  Kelly and Eric had an amazing ceremony  and PAR-TAY in Salisbury, NC.  Lindsey Lee Photography was there and I was honestly filled with emotion the whole day seeing these two come together.  There were so many sweet moments that I teared up more than one time during the day.  Kelly and Eric both were surrounded by people who love them so much and were sincerely honored to be part of their wedding.  At the reception, the party went down and it was so fun to watch all of their family and guests have such a fun time.  The tone was  definitely set for fun when Kelly and Eric surprised their guests with a hip hop dance.  I thought they were being awfully giggly during their slow dance, which is oftentimes very emotional.   It all made sense when the music cut and they broke out into a very choreographed dance that was too funny and complete with the worm (see below).  Kelly and Eric, thanks for letting Joe and I be a part of your day.  We won't soon forget it!

Here are some of my favorites and also check out the slideshow below!

My So-Called Life: SENIORS- Shelby

Meet another Shelby!  This week I had such fun with Shelby shooting in some really cool locations.  She is a cutie-pa-tootie!  Adventures, as usual, were had on this shoot.  We were asked to be movie go-ers to a movie that a local camera crew was filming.  We had to buy tickers and walk in to the movie- all on camera.  It was seriously one of the most random things ever.  We did not know what to do when a strange man (the producer) was chasing us down on the side of the street.  Of course neither of us got any details about when we were to be starred, what show, what station, what time...but we were actors for a moment, nonetheless!  Check these out!

Shelby is going to kill me...but I just HAD to post this picture!  Her mom really wanted her to wear this hat, and I concurred that it would be cute.  Shelby was not too keen on the idea, but seriously, how cute does she look in this outfit? It is one of my new favorites.

Carolina Bride: Kelly

This past Saturday was Kelly and Eric's wedding!  I have been so anxious to put these up!  Kelly was the most beautiful bride and I cannot wait to show you their amazing wedding pictures.  It honestly brought me such JOY to see these two come together in marriage.  Kelly, of course, was a stunning bride, as you will see from these pictures.  Hope you love these as much as me and stay tuned for their wedding pictures!

If I had to pick a favorite, it might be this one.  Kelly has such an amazing grace about her ( and her middle name is Grace.  Coincidence? I think not)

Blue eyes, red hair, I love it.

Right as we were about to run out of light I had Kelly just "play" in her dress.  I am in love with both of these.

Better late than never! Happy 4th!

Being at the beach so much, I have gotten really behind here in the office!  So, I will take a slap on the hand for not posting this sooner!  Here is a little collage from my 4th at Oak Island.  I was too far away from any amazing fireworks (although we could see them) to get any good pictures, so here are some from off the pier.  Looking down the whole shore and being able to see fireworks all the way down the island was pretty cool though.

I would now like to take this opportunity to thank the nice man from Concord who we met at the gas station in the middle of somewhere on the way home from the beach.  You see what had happened was I managed to lock the keys in the car (in my defense, I thought Joe had them) while parked at the pump at the small gas station that was swamped from all of the beach traffic.  So, don't mind us while we sit here and take up this pump for the next hour waiting on AAA while a line of traffic waits on a pump out onto the highway.  Sorry!  Joe was going to tell the poor guy behind us, who was now kind of trapped with their big truck and trailer that they were pulling that he would help to guide them around us .  Next thing we know, the nice man and his son jumps out of the car (I didn't know what they were going to do?  Push us out of their way?  Why were they getting out of the car?)  Well in about two seconds it became clear that he had a lock out thingymabob in his truck toolkit and had our car unlocked in less than 5 minutes!  YAY!  Thanks you so much mystery man!  You saved the day and us a lot of money calling a lockout service on a Sunday!

Oak Island Family Photographer

Meet this sweet, sweet family- the Oakley's!  It was my third Oak Island Beach Session and we had such an amazing time. Sandy and Anthony's two girls, Kaytlin and Morgan, reminded me so much of my sister and myself that it was kind of freaking me out!  I was captivated by them because it was like looking into my childhood!  Hence, all of the pictures of the two cute little ones for the blog!  Enjoy!
