Baby Love- Jillian

Sweet big brother Conner has just welcomed a new sister to the family! Meet Jillian. She is just a little thing who came a couple of weeks early and is no bigger than a minute! She was alert and awake the whole session and we were lucky enough to have a breezy morning to have her outside. Enjoy this sweet baby girl. She was absolutely perfect in pink!

The Workshop and what's coming up!

I am so excited to announce that I will officially be holding a beginner photography workshop on July 17th in Concord, NC! Here are the details you need to know:

*The class will be from 9am-1pm with lunch provided

*This is a class for beginner DSLR users. What if you don't have a digital SLR? Borrow one and come join the fun! The class is for people who have never "gotten off green" when using their camera to those who have read the manual but still don't completely understand what the heck an f/stop is. (if you are reading this and don't know what an f/stop is, this class is for you, too:))

*There will be lots of one on one time and plenty of time for questions- then we will all practice what we have learned with real LIVE models.

*Tuition is $150 and limited to 15 people. Email me at lindseyleelancaster@gmail.com to hold your spot. I will reserve your seat and then confirm when the tuition is received.

Can't wait to see what great photos you are going to take! Here is a look at what is coming up next on the blog...

Bridals- Cameron- Savannah Wedding Photographer

Before Cameron's little Washington wedding this past weekend, we met down in Savannah where she lives to do her bridal portraits! Let me just say that 1) Cameron's dress is one of my most favorites. and 2) all of the yummy and amazing light lives in Savannah. There, enough said. While Joe and I recoup from a double wedding weekend, 4 hours apart, take in these bridals. Happy Monday!

This veil was Cameron's mom's. It is absolutely incredible how the crochet in her dress matches the crochet on the veil!

{Meghan and Tyler} Concord Wedding Photographer

Meghan and Tyler are so near and dear to my heart. Not only because these two are perfect for each other, but also because this wedding had so many people in it that I love!!! Besides being incredibly hot, the day was absolutely perfect. Their band Party on the Moon kept things hopping all night! And, as usual, Barbara Pedwell did a great job with all of the flowers and reception decoration- and cake!

All of the people who love Meghan and Tyler were just so happy to be a part of their day- and I felt the same way. Two beautiful people found each other...and that is something to celebrate.

I think I re-figured out how to put the slideshow in the actually post- so click the play button on the bottom picture for more photos!

What not to wear...or wear.

I have been wanting to do a post on what to wear for your sessions for quite some time now! Luckily, my ohsotalented and style-gifted friend Chelsea made some style boards to give you some clothing inspiration for your session. Trust me on this one, outfits make a gigantic difference in how your photos turn out! Creative lifestyle photography looks better in color...and in my opinion, more is more when it comes to accessories. Over the next couple of weeks I will be blogging outfit inspiration for families, kids, and even seniors to help you think about what you wear to your session in a different way. I especially can't wait to show you a whole family of outfits that nearly all came from old navy that Chelsea put together. I'm not talking about needing designer clothes here, but coordinating colors, patterns and textures to make your photos pop! Get excited!

And for those of you who think yea, those outfits look cute but I don't have anything like that- Chelsea will come to your house for an hour and coordinate from things you already have in your closet. Just ask me for more info. For now, take in this inspiration for a chic yet casual couples session. It is a modern approach to the t-shirt and jeans.

Lindsey Lee Photography- The Workshop

I am thinking of holding a workshop on July 17th (9am-1pm) in Concord for anyone who wants to learn how to take better pictures with your Digital SLR( Canon Rebels, Nikon D300's, etc). The key is to "get off green" and learn how to take photos on your camera's manual settings. If you have a Digital SLR camera and are confused about what all of the buttons mean, get dizzy reading the manual, or just always shoot on the automatic settings, this is a class for you! Want to take better photos of your kids playing soccer? Hate how your family vacation photos look? We will have a complete learning time, lunch together, and a practice time with real models. The class will be hands on and will help you on your way to more fabulous photos!

It is a last minute planning that I am trying to get together if I have enough of you interested. If you would like more information about this workshop or other workshops I am going to hold in the future, please send me an email at lindseyleelancaster@gmail.com.

And because every post is better with a picture- here is one of some more beach fun!

Lillian

Oak Island Photographer- Family Love- The Silvernale's

These people I love. like a lot. They are some of Joe and I's very best friends who happen to live in Colorado. Turns out, though, that we see each other a couple of times a year, which is awesome! We had our first annual family vacation at the beginning of June. One of many years to come!

Jason and Kim had their little baby boy last summer and it was so great to be at the beach together- especially since it was baby Driggs' first time at the ocean! He was a little scared of the waves and sand, and I think primarily how loud it is at the ocean. We did these pictures at two different times- the first time we tried, Driggs was worn out and basically denied the session. It wasn't his fault- we did drag him out past his bedtime, which was pretty hilarious how miserable he was. We still got a couple of cute ones and took lots of Kim and Jason.

This was round two, the next morning- VERY early. Driggs was a much happier boy! Warning: there is some naked baby butt down below. I'm not the type of photographer who gets into the type of shot like below, it's not really my thing- but it was too hilarious what happened as soon as we took off Driggs' diaper. I had to share! Not to mention the fact that he was screaming bloody murder at the time, too. Happy Monday!

Family Love- The Konigsmark's

Just a little bit ago I shot Dodi and Andy's wedding! Now they have a little bean to show for it;) All of the stars aligned when I was in Greenville for Olivia and Bentley's wedding because Dodi and Andy were home all the way from Colorado for just a few short days. We managed to meet up and squeeze in a little photo time of the new little Emmi Claire. She wasn't in the smiley mood, but I just have to smile at her in this little bow. I love it! Happy Monday!
