We Are Family: Drew and Amber

Have you ever seen it be so dreary and rain so much in your life!? I met up with Drew and Amber in between downpours...we barely made it before the next storm started...but I am glad we did!! This brother/sister pair are so fun and wanted to get some pics taken together to share with family and friends.  Drew and Amber are really close and genuinely like each other- it makes me a little jealous that I never had a brother to see how much they love each other.  They were game for anything- which I ALWAYS love. We found fun stuff to play on and bright colors. Thanks ya'll for being SO easy to work with.

Remember when you were young these things were so fun??  Now they are a little scary:)  Quick! Before all the blood rushes to your head!

This is their last name....I love 3 letters names- probably because I had the longest last name ever growing up.

Hello Eyes.

bailey and josh {concord nc}

You may remember Carolina Bride: Bailey from a couple of months ago. Last Saturday she married her sweetheart of almost 7 years, Josh. I was so lucky to get to be a part of this moment in their lives. I honestly have never seen a bride be completely overcome with joy and excitement as Bailey. Don't get me wrong, every bride is excited to get married, but this was something different...something that you know is forever, a joy from deep inside. I loved watching Bailey and Josh's faces as they became husband and wife.

No wedding is without it's craziness, however.  I did have a mild heart attack as Bailey's brother forgot to bend his knees and went down during the ceremony! After that my stress level was very high as I watched another groomsmen become weary right through my lens. Water STAT! Welp, that's what family stories are made of!

Craziness aside, this was a beautiful ceremony of two beautiful people who love each other more than anything in the whole world, and that is an amazing thing. On a total side note, Bailey and Josh won $500 on their honeymoon playing BINGO. Wahoo! B and J: I love ya'll, I loved your wedding, and I love these images!

Getting Ready.  This is the pure joy I was talking about.

Instead of her bridesmaids praying for her, Bailey prayed for her bridesmaids.  This was such a heartfelt moment that I really didn't want to disturb, but the beauty of it was amazing.

It's time!

Family Fun- the Cody's

Whew, I am behind on my blogging! This shoot was from last week with a family that is near and dear to my heart- The Cody's. Ed and Mary Ann are on the Young Life committee in Salisbury where I used to work.  They have such a heart for their family and ministry and really ministered to me in the time I lived there.  I feel like I have watched their kids grow up- Abbey, Will and Caroline.  We have had this shoot scheduled 3 times and finally it decided not to rain! MA has been wanting some great black and whites to put all around the house- not to mention they haven't had a family picture made since Caroline was born (hey, it happens). We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day...Everything was so beautiful and green and Ed spent all morning cleaning the dog "messes" out of the front yard so we could roll around and play in the lush green grass! It was a labor of love, I give it to him:) Enjoy these cuties (yes, even you Ed!).

"some people" were having a hard time grasping the concept of funny face:)

Hello Hotties

I love this picture of Caroline, she is such a sweet spirit, and I can feel that when I look at this.

Carolina Bride: Bethany

This bridal session happened last week, but with lots of craziness over the weekend (including a wedding with lots of fun stories) I am just now getting to posting these! I am so sorry for the lack of blog activity over the last week!

Bethany was a DELIGHT to shoot. For her bridal shoot she wanted to be out in the country wearing her cowboy boots!  Of course she has some sassy heels for the wedding this coming weekend, but she is a boots kinda gal and that was her dream for this session. For her surprise to the groom, she had a vision of sitting on a John Deere Tractor in her dress.  Well if you can dream it, I can find it...it is all part of the LLP experience.  Although I love shooting in cities and urban settings, there is something so cool about being in the country all dolled up in your dress with the crickets chirping and the sun setting over the trees that you seem to somehow miss when you are in town.

This session was so fun...can't wait for your wedding this coming weekend Bethany!

I think ONE of the reasons I LOVE my job so much is because I get to see smiles all day long.  Looking at this brings one to my face!

Enter little fairies dancing out of the woods. There is something magical about this picture.

I can't decide which one I like better, the looking down or looking up.

Don't worry, the tractor came with dirt on it for free!

Dodi and Andy {washington nc} Wedding Photos!

Here are just a small sampling of the cuteness that was Andy and Dodi's wedding.   Seriously, it was amazingly beautiful with beautiful people with beautiful places...what else could a photographer ask for! I had a really hard time narrowing it down for the blog, so this sampling is TOTALLY random.  A lot of their friends were in town from California, so it was an awesome atmosphere of fun-ness! I had a great time with ya'll...can't wait to show you the rest.

Ya'll might remember this awesome red caboose....who could resist it?! NOT ME!:)

Love this pic of Andy with a crinkled nose

Husband and Wife!

What a FUN group of people!  I love how Andy's tongue is sticking out!
