Bridals: Sarah

My brides are so creative and fun! Love Sarah's look....vintage, yet super classy and modern. Their wedding at The Big Chill was very awesome and I can't wait to share! For now, enjoy these...

AND- how could I forget beautiful hair and make-up by the lovely Lindsey Regan Thorne. She rocks...and has a pretty cool name, too.

True Love- Amanda and Coty

LOVED getting to work with these two! They were the lucky couple to snag 9-10-11 on my calendar for next year. What a fun wedding date! We took many of the photos at Coty's family farm. It was a photographer's dream...all the yummy light and rust that I could dream of. Enjoy!

My so-called life: Kaitlin

Another beautiful lady! Love my time that I get to spend with these awesome seniors. I am still digging out from under the pile, so I'm keeping this is short and sweet....Hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving!

True Love- McKenzie & Logan

Joe and I are so lucky to count our clients as friends- McKenzie and Logan being no exception. This friendship was proven when we ran into McKenzie at breakfast this past Saturday morning. Here is the backstory: Joe had been wanting to go see the new Harry Potter movie and was really hoping to go this past weekend. With my work schedule lately, I knew it just wasn't in the cards to go anytime before Thanksgiving (not to mention that I am so lost in the series...mostly because I only like to watch Twilight over and over...but that is a post for another day) So, cut to Saturday morning I see on facebook(yes) that McKenzie and Logan were going to see Harry Potter after they ate breakfast at our favorite local spot- a place we run into them often. Turns out we did end up running into McKenzie at the restaurant where I oh-so-casually mentioned to her that Joe had been wanting to see the movie, and would she mind if he came along. Never mind the fact that he would totally be the third wheel, but Mackenzie and Logan are cool like that....and Joe? He was just so happy to be seeing the movie:) Enjoy some of my favorites from their engagement session!

My so-called life: ashley

I have sooo many things to get up here on the blog that I am going to try and mix some in as I try to work through the October and early November weddings(yes, all 8) that we shot.

Up now is Ashley! I have to pinch myself as I am shooting these senior sessions because these girls are just SO amazing! Not only they are beautiful, don't wear denim on denim(hey, it was all the rage is '01), but they have so much confidence and poise about them that it is not even funny. It also is worth mentioning that the hair products have come a LONG way since my high school days and they all have the most amazing hair! Ashley made me laugh and giggle throughout our session....she claims to not like her serious face, but I happen to love it. Enjoy these!

Family Love- The DeArment's

I just loved getting to work with this amazing family! We have had our session scheduled since early June for October...and let me just say it was so worth the wait to get the beautiful fall weather we had! I met them up in Shelby and we played in the leaves, tried to get everyone to have fun, and I think we somewhat succeeded with both! Too many favorites...these are some of the Enjoy!

{Jennifer & Matt} Charlotte Wedding Photographer

This day was one to remember! For many reasons, but one reason being that Joe and I got into a wreck on the way to Jennifer and Matt's gorgeous fall wedding. Yep, that's right. A wedding photographers worst nightmare did come true, but luckily the damage wasn't totally horrible to our car(other guy, not so lucky) and after my nerves settled the day went on without a hitch! Thanks so many of you who have asked about us!

Jennifer and Matt had a beautiful church ceremony and their wedding reception was held at Byron's at South End, which is a really great venue that has many places for great photos. Chelish Moore did another great job on the fall flowers and their 80's cover band, 80'z Enuff, kept the party rocking all night. Those 80's songs really inspire people do dance! So fun! Enjoy these photos and don't forget to watch the slideshow at the end.

boys will be boys

I am in absolute shock at just how much Jack has grown since our session just this past spring! He is into all things manly now and is so fun to be around. He loves to ride his John Deere tractor and play outisde- though he is more fearless than I think his mama wants him to be:) Enjoy just some of my favorites of this sweet little boy...

Family Love- The Town's

Love this family! It has been so fun to catch up with them every couple of months, especially as big brother and little baby Jillian grow. Last time I saw Jillian her she was a little teeny tiny thing and now she is growing like a weed. She joined us for part of our session, then directly went to sleep because that was more appealing apparently:) Enjoy some shots of this sweet family!

{Michelle and Lou} Charlotte Wedding Photographer

Michelle and Lou were an absolute JOY to work with. Their wedding was so intimate, and when they gave each other their vows, with hands over each others hearts, it almost felt like we shouldn't be there to experience something so beautiful between two people. It made my heart melt. Some semi-nasty weather derailed their original plan to have a rooftop reception, but they didn't skip a beat and enjoyed every second with each other in the ballroom instead. Friends and family came from all over to love on them on their wedding day, and Joe and I were grateful to be there. I hope married life is treating you grand Michelle and Lou!

Inaugural Photobooth

This past weekend we got to try out our new photobooth at my cousin Heath's wedding! It was a smashing hit! It is self ran, so I was dying laughing looking through the photos just now since I was not there to see what people were up to over at the booth. Here are just a few that made me smile. Future brides, this is a GREAT addition to your fun wedding reception! Ask me for details!

{April & Randy} Salisbury Wedding Photographer

Sweet, Sweet, Sweet, Sweet, Sweet. That is the only way to describe APril and Randy- who they are as a couple- and who they are as people. Such an amazingly sweet couple! The two of them are so giving and it was completely obvious how much the people around them honor and respect their love. It was a beautiful day in Salisbury at First Baptist Church, with their reception at The Depot, one of my most favorite spots. Enjoy pictures of this lovely couple and don't forget to click play on the slideshow at the bottom.
